With the arrival of spring, nature regains its rhythm and bees return to play a leading role in ecosystems. It is at this very moment that the 2026 season of the Lapi Gelatine apiary begins — a project in collaboration with Apicoltura Urbana that combines environmental commitment, people engagement and a clear vision: building value starting from what’s inside, Trust What’s Inside.
Launched in 2025 with the installation of 2 hives hosting a total of 120,000 honeybees and a beehouse dedicated to pollinating insects, the project reached its first tangible milestone at the end of the year with the production of the first 7 kg of honey and its distribution to employees. Today, this journey continues and evolves.
Created to actively contribute to the protection of pollinators, the Lapi Gelatine apiary is now a tangible example of commitment to biodiversity.
In 2026, the project evolves further through an initiative aimed at enriching the company’s apiary area with melliferous and pollinator-attractive plants, designed to support bee activity and foster the development of a more balanced ecosystem.
A step that strengthens the company’s commitment to responsible practices and to generating a positive impact on the surrounding environment.
The spring recovery of the colonies marks a key phase for the apiary. During this period, bees return to full activity, making their essential role in the health of ecosystems and food supply chains clearly visible.
Observing this process up close also means gaining a deeper understanding of what often remains unseen: the natural balance that sustains life and production.
In this sense, the project fully reflects Lapi Gelatine’s path towards transparency and awareness: knowing what’s inside—both in processes and products—is the first step in building trust.
With the start of the new season, visits to the apiary dedicated to Lapi Gelatine employees also resume, following their launch in 2025.
The first 2026 sessions have already involved several groups who, on this occasion, had the opportunity to closely observe the bees and the beekeeper’s work during the spring recovery phase.
An activity that goes beyond training, becoming a moment of genuine connection between people and nature. Understanding the work of bees helps build greater awareness of the importance of biodiversity and of the role each individual can play in preserving it.
Scheduled on a monthly basis, these visits continue to make the project increasingly shared and participatory.
The Lapi Gelatine apiary reflects an approach that puts at the center what often remains unseen, yet makes all the difference: the quality of processes, care for the environment and the daily commitment of people.
From protecting bees to creating a biodiversity-focused area, every action is part of a broader journey where sustainability and transparency are deeply connected.
Because building trust means starting from within—enhancing what makes every project authentic and concrete.
