SICI’s operation for Lapi Gelatine Receives Special Internationalization Mention at the Claudio Dematté Award

We are excited to announce that the strategic collaboration between Sviluppo Imprese Centro Italia SGR SpA and Lapi Gelatine S.p.A. has earned the prestigious Special Internationalization Mention at the Claudio Dematté Private Equity of the Year Award. This recognition is a testament to the significant progress Lapi Gelatine and the entire Lapi Group S.p.A. have made in international expansion and growth.

The Dematté Award, now in its 21st edition, is organized by AIFI (Associazione Italiana Private Equity, Venture Capital e Private Debt) in collaboration with key partners such as Intesa Sanpaolo, EY, Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore, SDA Bocconi, and Borsa Italiana. The award honors outstanding operations that drive business growth and global reach.

The internationalization project supported by SICI played a crucial role in Lapi Gelatine’s successful acquisition of a 65% stake in Juncà Gelatines in late 2021. This acquisition reinforced Lapi Gelatine’s position as a global leader in gelatin and collagen peptide production. In May 2024, Lapi Group repurchased SICI’s shares, marking the beginning of a new growth phase and continued diversification for the company.
