Lapi’s fish gelatine has obtained Friend of the Sea® sustainability certification

We are proud to announce that our fish gelatine has obtained Friend of the Sea® sustainability certification!

Friend of the Sea® is the international certification standard that ensure that fishing-related activities are conducted respecting the marine environment and preserving its stocks.

The certification guarantees sustainable and controlled processes from fisheries, fleets, and breeding to final products and services. Monitoring is possible through strict audits conducted to verify environmental and social standards promoting sustainable fishing and breeding methods. Friends of the Sea® collaborates with regional and national authorities, seafood and shipping industries, scientists, as long as with the NGOs whose mission is to control and analyze the status of the marine world.

Lapi’s decision to ask for the accreditation and get this certification is also a natural passage of our communication dynamics towards the market and the public. We want to promote respect towards the oceans and aquatic habitat conservation.
