A Special Edition Presented at the Tuscany Regional Council

The official presentation of the festival took place at the Media Center Sassoli in Palazzo del Pegaso, home of the Tuscany Regional Council. The event featured key regional and local authorities, including Antonio Mazzeo (President of the Regional Council of Tuscany), Enrico Sostegni (Regional Councilor), Matteo Bensi (Empoli’s Cultural Affairs Councillor), and Filippo d’Urzo (Artistic Director of Empoli Jazz). Representing Lapi Gelatine was Sara Borchi, and from Empoli Jazz, Aniello Caruso (President) and Giovanni Oreno (Social Media Manager).

The initiative was praised as one of the most important cultural events in Tuscany, and this year’s edition highlights Empoli’s commitment to bringing high-quality music to its urban center, making it more accessible and engaging for a wider audience.

Five Days of International Jazz in the Heart of Empoli

The 2025 edition will feature five vibrant evenings of music across Empoli’s most iconic venues, including Piazza Farinata degli Uberti, the Garden of the Torrione di Santa Brigida, and — for the very first time — the city’s historic center. The program includes both free and ticketed concerts, street performances, and international jazz stars.

The festival opens on July 15 with a special concert featuring the acclaimed international trio Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, and Adam Cruz. On July 21, the stage will welcome Avion Travel with the Medit Orchestra, while on July 23, Parbleu will perform alongside a surprise guest during the anticipated “Secret Concert.” On July 22 and 24, the streets of Empoli will host energetic performances by renowned street bands such as the Fantomatik Orchestra, Magicaboola Brass Band, Girlesque Street Band, and Over Soul Street Band.

Thanks to the support of the City of Empoli, the Tuscany Region, and numerous cultural organizations, the Empoli Jazz Festival has grown into a regional cultural landmark that merges tourism, music, and community spirit.
