The “Scacciapensieri” after-school program, organized by Circolo Arci Pagnana APS, has officially resumed, this year offering an expanded educational program with exciting new activities. This significant initiative is made possible through the collaboration of the Empoli-based company Lapi Gelatine S.p.A. and under the patronage of the Municipality of Empoli.
Lapi Gelatine, part of the Lapi Group holding and deeply rooted in the Empoli region, reaffirms its support for initiatives promoting the growth of younger generations and the well-being of the community. “We are very proud to contribute once again to the success of this wonderful initiative,” said Tommaso Lapi, CEO of Lapi Gelatine, during the press conference.
The “Scacciapensieri” after-school program is designed to meet the learning and socialization needs of children aged 6 to 13, providing a safe and stimulating space for growth and education. This initiative is part of the broader “Lapi Group Youth Project,” which for over a decade has supported social, educational, sports, and cultural activities as a way of giving back to the community.
Building on last year’s success, “Scacciapensieri” returns with an even more comprehensive schedule. In addition to homework assistance, participants can engage in arts and crafts workshops, English lessons, recycling activities, and creative games. These activities will also feature contributions from local volunteers who will share their cultural and artisanal skills with the young attendees.
“The entire Council’s goal is to make our Circolo a resource for the community once again,” explained Daria Degli Innocenti, Vice President of Circolo Arci Pagnana. “Starting with children and young people, providing them with spaces to come together, felt like the most natural thing to do.” Valentina Papale, President of Arci Empolese Valdelsa, added: “Scacciapensieri will be a workshop for healthy growth and skill-building in an informal, educational environment, with a good dose of fun included.”
The project benefits from the patronage of the Municipality of Empoli, highlighting the importance of initiatives that foster social connections and support families. Mayor Alessio Mantellassi remarked: “Providing support like this to children aged 6 to 13 is crucial because these are formative years for the citizens of tomorrow. Arci, with the support of Lapi Gelatine, will undoubtedly help along this journey.”
Maria Grazia Pasqualetti, the Councilor for Education, also expressed her appreciation: “‘Scacciapensieri’ is a concrete help for local families, thanks to affordable fees. The activities offered create an environment rich in opportunities for young people’s growth.”
The after-school program runs every Tuesday and Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Circolo Arci Pagnana. For further details and registration, contact Arci Empolese Valdelsa at 0571. 1656543 or 379 259 4430, , or email circolo.pagnana@gmail.com.
With the support of Lapi Gelatine and all involved, “Scacciapensieri” continues to be a cornerstone for the community, blending education, social engagement, and solidarity.
